Award-winning chemist, industry leader and globally-recognized formulation expert, Valerie George has a passion for innovation and quality ingredients. She started Simply Formulas, after more than a decade of beauty-industry leadership with high-visibility brands, including Paul Mitchell, to support companies in unraveling the complications typically associated with product development. From concept to creation, Valerie is committed to making the formulation process transparent and accessible to all.
Her passion for helping tomorrow’s chemists hone their talents runs deep. A frequent speaker, author, industry mentor and educator, Valerie is an active contributor in the Society of Cosmetic Chemists and was awarded the esteemed Chapter Merit Award in 2017 for her volunteer work and outstanding participation. She serves on the Board of Directors at Kent State University where she is also a guest lecturer. Valerie writes a monthly column in HAPPI Magazine, Dear Valerie, and is the longtime co-host of the Beauty Brains podcast.
